For the most part, the thing with doing these online posts is that we have to trust each other. This means that everyone is basically responsible for moving the story forward. So, when we start up with these sessions again, just move the story forward, but, do so in a way that FEELS real.

For example, since I didn't post anything immediately after the session, Moose could have come in and said:

--After clearing out the bodies and burying them, my companions and I found it would probably be best to rest for the night. Ruby was elusive as always and left immediately after telling us our next job.

Upon waking, I wander down to the foyer to find the Paladin waiting for me. "I still don't trust her, but it seems that she's giving us good information for now. What's our next move?"--

To which Joel can say

--"I think it's best that we find out as much information about the kidnapping of Sharug." Would you care to follow me to his shop? Maybe we can find more information.

Upon entering the shop, items are strewn about...--

The thing with online stuff is that you guys have a lot more control over where things are going. This means I"m going to trust you that you're not going to break my world by being all "And then I just stab the guard and then kill the queen" and I'm also not going to block your story by saying "No, it can't happen that way!!!" Everything becomes much more collaborative.

That is, if that's how you guys want to run it. This leads to fewer skill checks and more roleplaying the events leading up. Basically, the rules for this kind of roleplaying are "Don't PLAY the other players. Allow them to respond to you. This includes NPCs unless I give you specific control of them.

This won't feel as "DnD" as what we've been doing before, but it also will give you guys a little bit more direct control over the way the story is moving.
